When people ask us about musical instrument insurance there are so common questions that always seem to come up time and time again. One of the most asked is about home contents insurance. Understandably, some people choose to insure their instruments under their home insurance, but having a standalone musical instrument insurance policy does bring its own benefits, and we’ve outlined them below:
Cover away from your House
One of the biggest benefits of a separate insurance policy for your instruments is that should you take your insured items (and most people often do) out of your house, you’ll still be covered should something go wrong.
Accidental damage, theft and loss are all included in our policies, cover you wouldn’t otherwise benefit from under most home insurance.
Worldwide Cover
Most musical instrument insurance policies offer worldwide cover as an upgrade which is really useful for professional of even semi-pro musicians who travel with their instrument at all.
Public Liability and Professional Indemnity
Public liability is a really important and sometimes overlooked aspect of insurance, especially for professional musicians. Our musical instrument policies offer PL and PI as optional extras so you can add this extra cover to your quote, or even after you’ve purchased by using our contact us form. For more info about public liability, head to our public liability page for everything you need to know.
