Do I have to insure my touring caravan?

Touring caravan insurance is not a legal requirement in the UK in the same way that car insurance is. With that said, if you’re towing your caravan and something goes wrong, your car insurance policy often only covers damage caused to other people, their vehicle, and their property - not your caravan.

Your caravan could fall victim to break-ins, accidental damage, as well as severe weather such as storms, floods, or fires.

Without touring caravan insurance, you would need to cover the cost of repairs or replacement yourself.

However, Eversure protects your touring caravan from as little as £15.39^ a month. So, whilst it’s not compulsory, insuring your touring caravan is both a sensible and worthwhile choice.
