Why choose Eversure eBike Insurance?
The popularity of e-bicycles has rocketed in the past couple of years, and so it should. Electric bicycles are a great way for people of all ages to be able to exercise for longer.
Unfortunately, due to the increased cost of e-bikes this often makes them targets for thieves, which is why our e-bike insurance comes with theft cover and accidental damage as standard.
We’ll also look after your battery if it’s is damaged as a result of an accident – so you’ll be able to cycle freely, with the peace-of-mind that insurance can bring.
Your cover doesn’t stop there though, we’ve got some great benefits that come with our e-bike insurance policies:
Malicious Damage Cover
If your e-bike is damaged in an attack or attempted theft, you’ll be covered. Unfortunately, electric cycles are more likely to be targeted due to their increased price. With attempted thefts on all bicycles increasing year on year in cities across the country you’ll be relieved that malicious damage cover comes as standard in all our e-bike policies.
We can protect up to £1,500 worth of accessories with just a £25 excess to pay, so in the event of a theft or an accident, you won’t lose out if your accessories are damaged or stolen. Included in accessories cover are cycling clothes, bottles, locks, helmets, GPS and cameras – so it’s well worth making use of.
Replacement Cycle Hire
Should your e-bike be damaged beyond repair or stolen, we’ll offer you up to £1000 for a replacement hire bicycle that will have you back on two wheels in no time. There’s nothing worse then losing your bike and then needing it within the coming days, especially if you’re a commuter cyclist, so adding this optional extra to your policy would be worth considering.
We offer up to £5 million in public liability cover, so if you happen to get in a spot of bother with a third-party and cause damage in the process you’ll be covered with competitive excesses to pay.
Giving you peace-of-mind all the way around the world. If you travel frequently with your e-bike, we’ve got you covered – our worldwide cover comes as standard with all our e-bike insurance policies – so even if you don’t travel much you’ll be relieved to know its there in case you need it.
New for Old Cover
For those of you who bought your e-bike new, our policies operate on a new for old basis. So if your e-bike is damaged or lost, it will be replaced with a new equivalent model. This is another handy policy feature, to help ease the worry of having to make a claim. What's most helpful about this benefit is that the manufacturing of e-bikes is happening so rapidly, designs are always changing; the model you own now, may not be available in a few years, so with new for old cover, you can relax, safe in the knowledge that should you need it, you'll be offered the equivalent modern model.
*New for old only applies for bikes purchased from new, second hand bikes will be covered on a market value basis
